Every team member has the opportunity to leave a direct and lasting impact as we strive to become the leading company in better textiles.Role Definition:The Sustainability & Compliance Senior Manager / Director is accountable for overseeing our team's ESG efforts, managing sustainability reporting, ensuring compliance, and providing guidance. You'll be dedicated to fostering sustainability practices and supporting our company in achieving sustainability goals. The role of the Director of Sustainability & Compliance: Lead and oversee the organization's sustainability efforts, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.Own and manage certifications including B Corp, OEKO-TEX, ISO, and Blue Sign, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.Develop and implement sustainability reporting strategies, including lifecycle assessments and carbon emissions reporting.Manage product ownership of our transparency product, overseeing its development, implementation, and continuous improvement.Stay informed about emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices, and integrate them into our sustainability strategy.Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to implement sustainability initiatives and drive positive environmental impact.Conduct audits and assessments to monitor compliance with sustainability standards and regulations.Stay up-to-date on developments related to bio feedstock, microplastics, and forever chemicals, and develop strategies to address these issues.Represent the organization in sustainability-related forums, conferences, and working groups.Provide leadership and guidance to the organization by fostering a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree is preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in sustainability reporting or a related field.Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements.Experience in obtaining certifications for meeting sustainability standards.Excellent project management and team collaboration skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.Dedication to sustainability and driving positive change.Possess a strong background in science.What we offer: RRSP matching contribution Birthday day off & Sheertex tights giftEmployee perks programParental leave & PPE allowancePaid time off & sick leaveHealth & dental benefit insurance Access to Telemedicine services (Dialogue)Donation matching & volunteer time offCommute perks with Opus & Cie & bikeLearning & career growth opportunities If you are a professional ready to take on the challenge and you thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment, we invite you to submit your application.
