The Sales Development Representative role at Poll Everywhere is an exciting position for someone eager to establish their software sales foundation while having a direct impact on the growth of our business. You’ll be responsible for creatively ideating and executing campaigns alongside a supportive, non- competitive sales team. This role will report to the SDR manager while working alongside a small team of SDRs. This role also offers consistent opportunities for development and sales coaching, including direct access to shadow Account Executives in learning the full sales cycle.Poll Everywhere is a remote, bootstrapped SaaS company that aims to make presentations more inclusive. Founded in 2008, we now support millions of users worldwide, from educational institutions like UCLA and Boston University to household companies such as Google, AT&T;, and Target.Our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers. Their role is twofold - inbound and outbound sales prospecting. From an inbound perspective, they will contact leads who have expressed interest in our platform and qualify them as sales opportunities. Additionally, this individual will run cold outbound campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn across a target account list.Your ImpactResearch target accounts and determine a strategic approach in communicating Poll Everywhere’s value propositions to varying stakeholders.Execute outbound campaigns across different channels (email, phone, video messages, social media touches, etc.) to create sales-qualified opportunities for Account Executives to close as new business opportunities.Nurture outbound prospects and determine when they’re qualified to be handed off to an Account Executive.Engage and qualify inbound leads to create a pipeline for Account Executives.Daily & Monthly Responsibilities Conduct thoughtful and impactful outreach via cold calling, emails, and LinkedIn.Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce CRM.Explore, implement, and recommend new sales initiatives to drive qualified sales leads.Efficiently field and determine qualification for inbound leads to facilitate a smooth hand-off to an Account Executive.Quarterly & Yearly ResponsibilitiesHit targets for number of outbound leads passed off to an Account Executive.Meet defined SLA requirements for inbound leads.Shape strategies and solutions that improve performance across entire SDR team.Share insights from lead conversations to assist Marketing in campaign strategies, content creation, and product positioning.Keys to Your Success1-3 years experience in B2B SaaS business development or outbound sales experience.Proven track record demonstrating strong articulation of a product’s selling points via phone, email, and video conferencing.Demonstrated ability to explain complex issues to potential customers clearly.Excellent communication and active listening skills.Ability to develop rapport, influence others, and maintain strong working relationships.Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to deal with rejection.Must be self-motivated, persistent, and able to work independently.$68,000 - $84,000 a yearA PollEvian’s compensation package includes an annual base salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Our total rewards package includes medical, dental, and vision benefits - We cover 100% of your premiums for the base plan and 50% for dependents’ medical enrollment. We offer PPO medical, dental, and vision plans and an HSA/FSA. Up to a $100 monthly company match to your Health Care FSA or HSA account.Our base salary ranges take into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the breadth and number of direct years of experience for the role we are hiring for within the SaaS industry, based on our company size. All salaries at Poll Everywhere also have a geographic differential associated with the resident location at which the position may be filled. The hiring base salary range for this role is $68,000 to $84,000 annually in most geographic locations across the United States. During your initial call with our talent team please be ready to confirm your current residential location. This role’s compensation also includes variable compensation via a commission structure that is centered around passing both inbound and outbound qualified leads to an Account Executive. Note that this commission is paid out quarterly. The total OTE for this role will range from $83,000-$101,000.Our users come from all kinds of communities, and so do PollEvians.
