at Manufact

TL;DR

mcp-use is building open-source dev tools and infrastructure for MCP to help dev teams quickly build and deploy custom AI agents with MCP servers.
Think of Vercel, but oss and vertical on MCP (Model Context Protocol).
mcp-use SDK is one of the most popular MCP libraries with 8,000+ stars on GitHub and 3,000,000+ downloads.
Used by 20% of US 500 like NASA, SAP, NVIDIA and more than 5,000 companies.

The Role

We are looking for an Open Source Champion. You are someone who lives on GitHub and can’t stand seeing an open issue or a question go unanswered. You will be the face of mcp-use in the developer community.

You should already be familiar with the MCP space or have built projects using it. You will be our bridge to the official MCP committee, helping us lead the conversation on how this protocol grows. Your main goal is to show the world why our SDK is the best way to build MCP Servers, ChatGPT Apps (MCP Apps) and AI agents.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the community. You will run our open source repositories and keep the community happy and growing.
  • Be the MCP expert. You will be our point of contact for the official MCP committee and other big industry initiatives.
  • Evangelize our SDK. You will show developers why our SDK is the gold standard for creating MCP-enabled agents and servers.
  • Bridge the gap. You will talk to developers every day to help them build cool things and use their feedback to improve our tools.
  • Create the guides. You will build examples and documentation that make it incredibly easy for anyone to get started with MCP.

What we’re looking for

  • You have a history of contributing to or leading open source projects.
  • You are already active in the MCP world or have built MCP-related tools in the past.
  • You enjoy writing and talking to people as much as you enjoy writing code.
  • You are organized and disciplined about keeping projects moving forward.
  • You want to be the person who helps thousands of developers enter the AI era.
