Director, Supply Chain
at Computational Theoretical Chemist II
Our mission at Ansa Biotechnologies is to revolutionize the way we make
DNA. Compared to
reading or editing life’s code, writing new code from
scratch has remained one of the field’s most
elusive challenges. At Ansa,
we are putting nature to work, creating novel enzymatic solutions
that will
redefine how we build DNA. We believe that the biggest challenges our world
faces will
be solved using biotechnology and that DNA synthesis is the fuel
for that transformation. Our
enzyme-based approach (published in Nature
Biotechnology) promises to dramatically accelerate
innovation in biological
research and biotechnology, including therapeutics,
diagnostics,
biomanufacturing, and synthetic biology.
Job Description
Ansa is seeking a strategically
minded, operationally rigorous Director of Supply Chain to
partner with the
COO develop our supply chain organization to the next level. As we move
from
early commercial traction into industrial-scale operations, the
reliability, cost-efficiency, and
scalability of our supply chain will be
an important driver of our success.
This leader will be responsible for the
architecture and execution of an end-to-end supply chain
strategy
encompassing strategic sourcing, procurement, materials management, and
logistics.
The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of the unique
requirements of biotech
reagents with the ability to implement
disciplined systems and processes in a high-growth
environment.
This is
an on-site leadership role based in Emeryville, CA. If you are energized by
the challenge
of building a resilient supply chain for revolutionary
technology and are stoked to help us ship
DNA to world-changing biotech
companies, we want to hear from you!

(S&OP) process to align
commercial demand with manufacturing capacity
and material availability.
-Build and mentor a lean, high-performing supply
chain and procurement team.

all suppliers meet requirements and
specifications.
-Drive continuous
improvement initiatives to reduce COGS through strategic volume-
based
pricing, logistics optimization, and material substitution in partnership with
