Fabricator/Welder at Surface Combustion

Job Overview

The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for constructing items by cutting, shaping, and assembling various materials. The Fabricator/Welder will work with blueprints and specifications, using hand and power tools, and sometimes heavy machinery, to create products according to design.

Responsibilities and Duties

Assemble and fabricate metal parts according to blueprints, schematics, and work orders
Perform welding tasks, using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
Operate various tools and equipment such as forklifts, press brake machines, and pipe threading machines
Rig and move heavy materials and equipment as needed
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner

Qualifications

3-5 years of previous experience in metal fabrication and welding is desired
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
Proficiency in reading and interpretating blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Familiarity with operating forklifts, overhead cranes, metal shear, and ironwork
Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
Knowledge of various welding techniques with carbon steel and stainless steel
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Ability to pass welding test as well as OSHA Safety training test
AWS Welder Certification is preferred
