Manager, Accounting Shared Services (Finance Operations)

Position Purpose

We are seeking a forward-thinking Accounting Shared Services Manager to lead and evolve our Finance Operations function. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and transformation—owning end-to-end shared services processes while driving efficiency, scalability, and a best- in-class internal customer experience.

You will lead a high-performing team responsible for Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Billing, and Procure-to-Pay processes, while partnering closely with Finance, Digital, Procurement, and Operations leaders. This role will play a critical part in advancing our finance transformation strategy through process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Lead and develop the Shared Services team across Accounts Payable, Expense Reporting, Billing, and Procure-to-Pay
  • Foster a customer-focused culture with strong service levels, communication, and stakeholder partnership
  • Manage vendor relationships and escalation processes to ensure timely, effective resolution

Strategy & Transformation

  • Define and execute the Shared Services strategy aligned with broader Finance transformation goals
  • Drive digital and automation initiatives, including workflow tools, OCR, ERP enhancements, and analytics solutions
  • Partner with Finance and Digital teams to implement technology and improve end-to-end processes

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and execute process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Optimize Procure-to-Pay processes, including supplier onboarding, invoice processing, and payment execution

Financial Integrity & Controls

  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity in all accounting transactions and reporting
  • Maintain strong internal controls, segregation of duties, and fraud prevention practices
  • Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with audit requirements and company policies

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Develop and manage KPIs, dashboards, and reporting across Shared Services functions
  • Provide insights into service delivery, compliance, working capital, and supplier performance
  • Enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement through reporting and analytics

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members while building a culture of accountability and innovation
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other business leaders
  • Support M&A integration efforts, including scaling and onboarding Shared Services processes

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, with leadership responsibility
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement, automation, and innovation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and build strong partnerships
  • Experience working with ERP systems, data tools, and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage priorities in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • CPA, CMA, or Master’s degree
  • Experience in Shared Services (AP, billing, collections, or P2P processes)
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar tools
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certifications
  • Project management experience or formal training

Why This Role

  • Transformational impact: Play a key role in modernizing Finance Operations
  • Leadership opportunity: Lead a critical function and develop a high-performing team
  • Innovation-driven: Drive automation, process improvements, and digital initiatives
  • Cross-functional exposure: Partner with leaders across Finance, Digital, and Operations
