Maintenance Machinist l

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Machinist l is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery while minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, testing, and servicing production equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures and determine effective repair solutions
  • Repair and maintain machinery including motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, presses, welding equipment, slitters, mat welders, hoists, cranes, forklifts, and other production equipment
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate automated manufacturing equipment to maintain optimal performance
  • Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, filters, and fluid systems, completing routine maintenance activities
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic PLC-related issues to minimize equipment downtime
  • Install, modify, and assist with commissioning new machinery and production equipment
  • Operate plant equipment, including saws, forklifts, and other machinery as required to complete maintenance work
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to supervisors
  • Obtain repair parts, materials, and supplies necessary to complete maintenance activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
