Supports To Empower People (STEP) is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to manage community and residential services for adult men with intellectual, developmental, and mental health challenges in Rhode Island. The role involves assessing behavior, implementing intervention plans, and collaborating with clinicians and support staff to promote positive outcomes and improve quality of life.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $21.00 to$27.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
** In this role, you will:**

Provide direct support and coaching to individuals in residential or community settings.

Train staff on behavior management techniques, intervention strategies, and individualized Positive Behavior Support plans.

Provide direct support to adults who have intellectual/developmental disabilities within their home and community as needed by the individual.
- Work closely with Clinical Behavioral Specialist to analyze behavioral patterns and create P-BSP to address maladaptive behaviors.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation of behavioral data and treatment outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute recommendations for individualized support plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Registered Behavior Technician Certificate required.
- Valid Driver's License with access to an insured, registered and inspected vehicle.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- All schedules include weekend hours and meeting on Thursdays.
- Must have a positive and supportive approach, critical thinking skills and ability to think "outside the box".
- Must have the willingness and desire to provide services above and beyond "the norm".
- Must be adaptable and compassionate to what the men we support need in any given moment.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
