POSITION SUMMARY
The Cook I supports daily food production by preparing high-quality menu items in accordance with standardized recipes, production schedules, and food safety requirements. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, early-morning aviation catering environment.
Reports To: Chef / Sous Chef / Executive Chef
Schedule: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (and Flexibility required based on
business needs and flight schedules)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production plans
- Execute batch cooking using proper tools and measurements (scales, scoops, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout the shift and at close
- Accurately complete food safety and quality (FSQ) logs in real time
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
- Monitor waste and assist with waste log tracking for quality and cost control
- Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns to leadership
- Collaborate with Prep Cooks, Helpers, and culinary team members to meet production needs
