Description
As a Project Manager at Elekta, you will play a key role in delivering
customer projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality
standards. You will lead the end-to-end execution of multiple installation and
implementation projects while serving as the primary point of contact for
customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with Sales, Service, Clinical Applications, Logistics,
Finance, and Order Fulfilment teams, you will coordinate all project
activities, proactively manage risks, monitor financial performance, and
ensure successful project completion. Your ability to build strong customer
relationships, maintain project governance, and drive operational excellence
will directly contribute to customer satisfaction, revenue realization, and
Elekta's mission of advancing cancer care worldwide.
Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end execution of assigned customer projects in accordance
with Elekta's project management methodology, quality standards, and
operational procedures.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with
contractual commitments, customer expectations, and internal milestones.
• Serve as the primary interface between Elekta and the customer throughout
the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and effective stakeholder
management.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Service, Clinical
Applications, Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, and external partners to
ensure successful project execution.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues,
dependencies, and mitigation plans to minimize project impact.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, and quality while ensuring compliance
with contractual obligations and company policies.
• Manage project financial performance, including milestone achievement,
revenue recognition readiness, invoicing support, cost control, profitability,
and receivables follow-up.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, governance records, status reports,
and project forecasts within Elekta's business systems.
• Lead regular project review meetings with customers and internal
stakeholders, providing transparent communication on project progress, risks,
and next steps.
• Ensure all installation readiness activities are completed before site
deployment, including coordination of customer responsibilities and internal
deliverables.
• Support forecasting activities by maintaining accurate project schedules and
expected revenue realization dates.
• Drive timely project closure, ensuring contractual deliverables are
completed, documentation is finalized, lessons learned are captured, and
customer acceptance is obtained.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying
opportunities to improve project execution, processes, customer experience,
and operational efficiency.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, compliance, and customer focus
throughout project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing complex customer-facing projects, preferably
within medical devices, healthcare technology, engineering, or capital
equipment industries.
• Formal Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent)
is considered an advantage.
• Experience managing project financials, budgets, forecasting, and revenue
milestones.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and risk management
practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
