WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Accountant IV performs complex (journey-level) accounting work. Works
under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative
and independent judgment.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Share responsibility to process forms, research related data, classify,
code, and accurately post transactions related to vendor setups in TINS and
WRAPS.
Fed Grant Cash Recon/Negative Expenditures
-Share responsibility to assist others in the agency on routine to complex inquiries involving transaction errors, reconciliations, configuration and various other financial aspects.
-Share responsibility to manage agency collected revenue grants. Ensures agency collected revenues are accounted for and expended properly in the internal accounting system and the USAS system.
-Share responsibility to assist others in the agency on routine to complex inquiries involving time sheets and to ensure all time sheets are properly certified at the end of each month.
-Share responsibility for developing and maintaining procedures and detailed desk manuals for various functions within the Accounting Services
- Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU QUALIFY WITH:
- Two years and six months of full-time experience in accounting, finance, or
a related field.
-A license to practice as a certified public accountant in Texas will satisfy the education and/or experience requirements.
-Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
