Join the liver care team at one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers and provide general hepatology inpatient coverage in a high-volume, well-supported environment. This locums opportunity is focused exclusively on general hepatology and does not include pre- or post–liver transplant care.
At the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Transplant Institute and USF Health, hepatology providers care for a diverse population with complex liver disease, supported by experienced advanced practice providers, multidisciplinary teams, and robust hospital infrastructure. This role is ideal for hepatologists seeking focused inpatient general hepatology work without transplant responsibilities.
- General hepatology inpatient coverage only
- Care of hospitalized patients with liver disease, cirrhosis, portal hypertension, viral hepatitis, alcohol-related liver disease, and related conditions
- No transplant hepatology responsibilities
- No pre-transplant evaluations
- No post–liver transplant patient management
- Transplant hepatology fellowship not required
- Coverage within a well-established academic hepatology service supported by APPs and subspecialty consultants
- Teaching opportunities may be available depending on interest, but not required
- Flexible locums scheduling options
