Operations Generalist

at Overview

Operations Generalist Mexico
Guadalajara, Jalisco (onsite)

We're hiring our first operations person in Mexico. This is a build-it- yourself role.

Overview AI is expanding into Mexico, and we need someone on the ground in Guadalajara to set up everything from scratch: the office, the inventory hub, the shipping process, the vendor relationships. There's no existing team to inherit, no established playbook to follow. You'll create it.

Some weeks you'll be untangling a customs delay. Other weeks you'll be packing boxes, configuring devices, or setting up shelving in a new warehouse. That's the job.

What you'll actually do

  • Get our first Guadalajara office and inventory space up and running: internet, security, vendors, the works

  • Receive shipments, track inventory, and personally prep and pack devices before they go out the door

  • Build our customs and freight process from scratch, and manage the brokers and forwarders directly

  • Set up our inventory system (Cin7) and keep it accurate day to day

  • Work directly with Finance and Sales on invoices, order forecasting, shipment confirmations

  • Help onboard new Mexico-based hires as the team grows

  • Write the SOPs that don't exist yet, because you're the one figuring out how the work should be done

  • Jump into whatever's broken that week, even if it's not "your job"

You're a fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years in operations, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain. Ideally at a startup, small company, or fast-growing team where you wore multiple hats

  • Have actually done the work (packed boxes, tracked inventory, coordinated shipments)

  • Like ambiguity more than you like a clear org chart

  • Are comfortable being the only ops person for a while

  • Speak and write fluently in English and Spanish

  • Live in or near Guadalajara and can be onsite regularly

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Cin7 or similar inventory/ERP tools

  • Imports, customs, or cross-border freight experience

  • Having set up an office, warehouse, or new market from zero

  • Background in hardware, industrial tech, robotics, or IoT

This is not the role for you if you're looking to manage a team, inherit mature systems, or work from an established playbook. This role is for someone who'd rather build the plane while flying it.
