River Valley Physicians is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to provide emergency medicine services for patients within the hospital. Start date to be upon contract and medical staff privileges completion.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner is a registered professional nurse who has specialized skills, knowledge, and experience in family practice assessments and follow-up and is duly authorized to perform designated acts of medical diagnosis, prescription of medical therapeutics and corrective measures in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Nurse Practitioner priority role will be as a primary care person in the Urgent Care, Specialty clinics and Primary Care practices. The coordinating responsibilities include definition of the nurse practitioner role; the supervising of the clinic; and the development and support of close working relationships within the center and community. The Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Medical Director of clinics and works closely with interdisciplinary leaders in the center and community to carry out the above-mentioned responsibilities. In addition, the nurse practitioner will participate in the development and implementation of educational programs as they relate to the health care of the family.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Minimum of 2 years APN/PA experience preferred.

Effective communication skills.

Current State NP or PA license.

BLS (AHA or ARC) certification required.

State Board of Pharmacy - Controlled Substance License upon hire.
6. Drug Enforcement Administration Registration upon hire.
