**Salary: ** £28,605 - £31,029 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) (Pay Award Pending)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role

The Graduated Response Inclusion Practitioner works mainly with parents and carers, alongside children, young people, schools and other professionals, to promote inclusion and help families overcome barriers to education.

Your role will be to provide targeted support to parents and carers, helping to identify barriers, build positive relationships with education settings and find inclusive, practical solutions that enable children and young people to access education.

This is a rewarding role, delivering interventions with parents to help children and young people re-engage in education, employment or training and feel empowered for the future.

An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

Please ensure that you cover all 7 points in your application and provide clear examples and evidence of how each point has been met

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in this area.
• Experience of engaging with parents, carers, children, and young people at risk of missing educational opportunities.
• Good organisational, listening, communication and written skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of child development and awareness of the differing needs of children and young people.
• Knowledge of the education system, including specialist provision, Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), to support positive outcomes in education, training and employment.
• Experience of working in a multi-agency way to support children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes.
• A flexible approach to working, including out-of-hours work, travel to different locations.
