This is a temporary non-merit position with the Iowa Department Natural Resources. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise. Seasonal Water Patrol Officers are temporary, summer employees of the Iowa DNR. These are positions of high responsibility. Diverse duties for Water Patrol include checking for compliance with Iowa's navigation and fishing regulations and helping to ensure a safe recreational environment for the public.
