In the role of ICT/Security Specialist, we'll count on you to:
• The ICT/Security Specialist will be expected to complete a variety of
project tasks including but not limited to the following:
• Strong general engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication
(Horizontal/Backbone cabling) or electronic security systems (access control,
video surveillance, intrusion detection etc.) and operational coordination
with commercial hardware.
• Show ability to design cabling pathways such as conduits or cable tray
systems as well as proper bonding systems.
• Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer
needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are meet within the project
design.
• Define and develop complete project related construction documents to
include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project
specifications and assist with system related activities within all
construction administration (CA) activities.
• Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop
functional requirements, system designs and other project related
requirements.
• Edit telecommunication or security specification specifically to the
specific project.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new
emerging technologies.
• Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field
support is needed.
• Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Engineering Bachelor’s degree and RCDD is preferred.
• Entry level to five years of related work experience.
• “Can-Do” and problem-solving mind-set.
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on
schedule and under budget.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks
while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
• Strong computer skills and a proficiency or able to work in Bluebeam and
Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in Revit, AutoCAD is a bonus. Must be able to learn new
applications quickly.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and design standards and practices.
• Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
information.
