Engineering Technician (Construction Observation)

The position is based in Rockford, IL office. At Fehr Graham, we pride

What you’ll do:
- You’ll inspect contractor operations for compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Prepare project notes, calculations and summary sheets following Fehr Graham documentation procedures.
- Keep daily records of contractor quantities and activities.
- Conduct field measurements for record drawings, and communicate with project managers, contractors, and clients.
- You'll support the engineering and environmental functions of the firm.
- The workweek will exceed 40 hours, especially during construction season.
What it takes
- An associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Architecture Technology or CAD Drafting from a technical college or institution is preferred.
- Relevant experience may offset the educational requirement.
- You must have a valid driver’s license.
- You should speak and write well.
- You should have strong analytical and organizational skills.
- You must be a team player.

The base salary (or hourly rate) range for this role is indicated in the
posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the
compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will
be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications,
