*ABOUT THE Division*
General description
The Middleware Team in Information Technology division is mission- critical, serving the people of Texas by providing exceptional systems engineering for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts applications portfolio. We are seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator to support our custom application infrastructure while collaborating closely with application development, security, and IT infrastructure teams. As a Middleware Team member, you will play a key role in enhancing the performance, resiliency, and security of the Comptroller’s application infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day operations, continuous improvement of full-stack and microservices-based solutions, enterprise software maintenance and upgrades, platform monitoring, incident response and resolution, security configuration, and ensuring system stability, performance, and availability. You are an excellent fit for this role if you are self-motivated, automation- focused, detail-oriented, and a skilled communicator with sound judgment.
Work Hours
8AM to 5PM, 40-hour week, Monday – Friday, with occasional evening, weekend and/or holiday hours, including working on-call 24 hours a day during a rotation. Hours may change based on business need.
Teleworking may be considered if certain working conditions are met. The candidate must have permanent residency within the state of Texas and must be able to meet in office requirements, which can vary among different sections (i.e. report to office 1 day/month, 3days/week, etc.). Travel reimbursements are not provided for teleworking.
