Bayshore Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our highly respected, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in South Tampa, Florida.

What This Role Looks Like
Patient Care & Clinical Support
As a Veterinary Technician / Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) , you will:
• Provide hands-on support during patient exams, treatments, and procedures
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, and
patient monitoring
• Assist with surgical procedures, dental procedures, and anesthesia
monitoring
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Support veterinarians in providing exceptional patient outcomes
Training & Team Development
• Assist with onboarding and training of new veterinary team members
• Share clinical knowledge and best practices with veterinary technicians and
assistants
• Help support technical skill development and confidence-building within the
team
• Serve as a resource for clinical questions and patient care support
• Foster a collaborative and positive learning environment
Workflow & Hospital Support
• Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the hospital
• Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to optimize daily
operations
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve workflow and patient care
processes
• Support hospital protocols and medical standards
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-focused culture
Client Communication & Education
• Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding treatments and
procedures
• Assist with patient discharge instructions and client education
• Support a positive client experience through compassionate communication
• Maintain professionalism during busy or high-volume periods
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of Veterinary Technician experience
• Strong knowledge of general practice veterinary medicine
• Experience supporting surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, and patient care
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred
• Experience with training, onboarding, or mentorship initiatives
• Advanced anesthesia monitoring experience
• Strong surgical and dental support skills
• Experience working in an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital is a plus
