Senior PCB
Librarian
As a Senior PCB Librarian, you will be responsible
for owning and maintaining Astranis’ Altium components library. You will work
closely with design engineers, component engineers and supply chain on
creating EEE parts in Altium and maintaining an up to date and accurate parts
database. You will also be responsible for driving process decisions,
automating, and supporting the integration of our Altium library with our PLM
software.
Role
- Create schematic symbols and PCB component footprints according to manufacturer specifications and Astranis standards
- Manage component library and provide input on processes and standards to maintain an accurate and organized library
- Own integration between e-cad library and PLM tool using automated scripting
- Work with design team on creating and reviewing library components and footprints
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with ECAD library management and database knowledge
- Experience creating and validating schematic symbols and footprints in e-cad tools and maintaining library in Altium
- Experience writing scripts and automation
- Experience working with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software (Arena preferred)
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
- Experience with IPC standards (Class 2/3, IPC-A-610, IPC-7351)
