at Jamf
At Jamf, we believe in an open, flexible culture based on respect and trust. Our track record and thriving work environment all stem from the freedom we grant ourselves to get the job done right. We take pride in helping tens of thousands of customers around the globe succeed with Apple.
The secret to our success lies in our connectivity, while operating with a high degree of flexibility. Work-life balance remains our priority while feeling connected is important to maintain our strong culture, achieve our goals, and thrive as #OneJamf.
What you'll do at Jamf:
At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. As a Software Engineer II on the Gold Miners team, you'll design and build features end-to-end — from Java/Spring Boot microservices running on Kubernetes in AWS, including TypeScript-based Lambda functions, to React/Angular micro-frontends on the client side. You'll work across the stack to deliver scalable, well-tested, and observable solutions, while collaborating on infrastructure (Terraform, CI/CD) and frontend architecture decisions alike.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices running on Kubernetes in AWS.
- Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions written in TypeScript.
- Build React/Angular micro-frontends and contribute to a modular, module-federation-based frontend architecture.
- Write and maintain infrastructure code in Terraform for AWS resources supporting the services.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Own service observability: CloudWatch metrics configuration, Prometheus/Thanos scrape setup, Grafana dashboard definitions in Python.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing enterprise grade software with understanding of testing and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and related services).
- Experience writing Terraform for production infrastructure.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tooling.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Strong experience with React and Angular.
- Understanding of micro-frontends (module federation).
- Experience testing with Vite/Playwright (production stack currently uses Cypress, migrating toward Playwright).
- Familiarity with Nx and pnpm workspaces
- Practical experience using AI tools in day-to-day engineering work
- Experience introducing AI-assisted workflows and AI maturity practices into software projects
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
