Compensation: Competitive hourly rate up to $45/hour based on experience, technical capability, and market data. At American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO), we are hiring experienced Senior Industrial Electricians who can independently complete complex electrical installations, troubleshoot advanced systems, and serve as trusted technical resources within our manufacturing team.

This is a senior-level craft position for electricians who want to remain hands-on, take ownership of their work, and be relied upon for their technical judgment. One of the core responsibilities of this role is planning, bending, threading, and installing rigid conduit for custom crane and hoist systems.

What This Role Really Is

This is a senior-level, hands-on industrial electrical position focused on building custom overhead cranes, hoists, and engineered lifting systems.

You will spend most of your time performing complex electrical installations, bending and installing rigid conduit, wiring motors and control systems, interpreting detailed electrical drawings, and troubleshooting issues throughout the manufacturing and testing process.

This is not repetitive production wiring. Every project is different, and the work requires craftsmanship, technical judgment, problem-solving, and accountability for the safety, accuracy, and quality of the finished installation.

This is also not a supervisory position. You will remain actively involved in the work while providing technical guidance and setting a strong example for less experienced electricians.

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

During your first 90 days, you will learn ACECO's electrical standards, manufacturing processes, and safety expectations while becoming familiar with our custom crane and hoist systems.

You will be expected to independently complete complex electrical installations, plan and execute rigid conduit runs, interpret electrical drawings, and troubleshoot issues across the build, test, and production stages.

As you establish credibility within the team, you will also begin serving as a technical resource for Electrician I and II team members by sharing best practices, answering questions, and demonstrating strong electrical craftsmanship through your own work.

What You 'll Do

Advanced Electrical Installation and Assembly

• Perform complex electrical installations on custom overhead cranes and hoist systems
• Build, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motors, resistors, festoon systems, push-button stations, and related components
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
• Fabricate and install electrical brackets, supports, enclosures, and assemblies
• Complete electrical installations independently while maintaining quality and production expectations

Rigid Conduit Fabrication and Installation

• Measure, plan, bend, thread, and install rigid conduit for custom industrial electrical systems
• Produce accurate bends, offsets, kicks, saddles, and multi-bend conduit runs
• Lay out conduit routes that are clean, functional, code-compliant, and efficient
• Minimize material waste, rework, and installation errors through accurate planning and measurement
• Install conduit in accordance with electrical drawings, NEC requirements, and ACECO workmanship standards
• Provide guidance to less experienced electricians on conduit layout, bending techniques, and installation practices

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

• Diagnose and resolve advanced electrical issues efficiently and safely
• Apply electrical theory and practical troubleshooting techniques to motors, control circuits, wiring systems, and related equipment
• Identify root causes rather than relying on temporary fixes
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve design, installation, and build challenges
• Support electrical testing, verification, and equipment commissioning

Quality, Safety, and Standards

• Follow National Electrical Code, OSHA, and company safety requirements
• Verify that electrical installations meet applicable drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards
• Perform or support testing prior to equipment release
• Identify quality concerns and correct deficiencies before work progresses
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Properly use required tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment

Technical Leadership -- Non-Supervisory

• Serve as a technical resource for Electrician I and II team members
• Share best practices and support skill development through hands-on guidance
• Lead by example through safe work practices, reliability, craftsmanship, and accountability
• Provide realistic technical input to support production planning and work sequencing
• Help identify opportunities to improve electrical processes, standards, and installation methods

What We 're Looking For

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Electrical apprenticeship, vocational program, trade school, or technical training preferred

Experience

• Seven or more years of industrial electrical, heavy equipment electrical, manufacturing electrical, or closely related experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience independently completing complex industrial electrical installations
• Significant experience bending, threading, and installing rigid conduit
• Experience working on cranes, hoists, large equipment, industrial controls, or custom machinery strongly preferred
• Comparable experience and demonstrated technical capability may be considered in place of a specific number of years

Technical Skills

• Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
• Advanced rigid conduit layout, bending, threading, and installation capability
• Experience wiring control panels, motors, resistors, festoon systems, and industrial equipment

Work Location and Schedule

This role requires full-time, on-site availability Monday through Friday from 5:00AM to 1:30PM. Remote work is not available.
