Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Niceville is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing Emergency & Critical Care Team.

As the only 24/7 Emergency Veterinary Hospital serving Niceville and the Emerald Coast , our team provides life-saving care during nights, weekends, and holidays. We are looking for veterinary professionals who can bring confidence, technical skill, and compassion to some of the most challenging and rewarding cases in veterinary medicine.

We are specifically seeking individuals with a strong foundation in veterinary medicine who feel comfortable supporting:

  • Emergency and urgent care patients
  • Hospitalized and critical care cases
  • IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
  • Diagnostic testing and patient assessment

Schedule

Our current hiring need is focused on Overnight and Weekend coverage, with scheduled shifts running from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Overnight & Weekend Incentives

Effective July 1st, team members working overnight and weekend shifts will be eligible for shift differential pay.

Compensation

  • $21.00–$28.00/hour based on experience
  • Shift differential opportunities
  • Potential sign-on bonus for highly qualified candidates
  • Relocation assistance available for experienced credentialed technicians considering a move to the Florida Panhandle

HeadStart Student Loan Support Program

Eligible CVTs who graduated from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology Program and passed the VTNE within the past three years may qualify for Innovetive Petcare's HeadStart Program, designed to support newly credentialed technicians as they transition into practice.

What You’ll Bring:

  • This is not an entry-level position
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience required
  • Prior experience in emergency, critical care, specialty, or high-volume general practice strongly preferred
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred, but highly skilled Veterinary Assistants with advanced technical abilities will be considered
  • Demonstrated proficiency in:
    • Patient restraint and handling in high-stress situations
    • IV catheter placement and venipuncture
    • Anesthetic monitoring and post-operative recovery
    • Emergency protocols and multitasking under pressure
  • Experience with veterinary PIMS and electronic medical records
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during trauma cases and overnight surges
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
