Distribution Center Administrator

Position Summary:

The Shipping Coordinator oversees all products shipped via UPS, Federal Express and will calls, etc.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

· Assist in load and unloading trucks for freight and receiving

· Provide training on how bins are named/used and how items are placed in specific locations

· Pull, pack, and mark materials with identifying information

· Will calls and small picks as necessary

· Monitoring items to be shipped and ensuring they have proper contents, labeling, and addresses

· Research all shipping options to ensure shipments are made at the lowest possible cost

· Run invoices and complete Bill of Ladings for all cross-dock shipments

Preferred Skills:

· Know all OSHA and safety standards in the Distribution Center

· Strong verbal and written communication for interacting with team members and customers

· Aptitude for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions quickly

· Ability to operate necessary equipment (forklift, stock picker, wrapping machines, dollies, carts)

· Required to read and understand and RF scanner

Working Conditions:

· Must be able to stand and walk for a prolonged period of time

· Frequently bending, lifting, and twisting while working in the operation

· Occasionally required to monitor a computer and communicate on a telephone

· Work is performed in a secured distribution center environment with moderate to high level noise

· Able to lift up to 50lbs

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· One (1) year distribution center experience
