GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

Under the direction of Franklin Mountains State Park Superintendent, this position is responsible for the preservation, protection, operation, and maintenance of Franklin Mountains State Park. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: cultural and natural resource stewardship; financial management, budget planning, preparation and monitoring; revenue management; human resources management; security and safety programs and maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds, and equipment. Coordinates and conducts work related to the overall management of the park’s trail system. Supervises, trains, schedules, motivates, and evaluates volunteer workers. Oversees and performs maintenance and repairs of facilities, grounds, and equipment. Assists with customer service, public relations, marketing and promotion and interpretation and education programs. Organizes special events, community outreach, volunteer development and partnerships. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.

NOTE : Salary range is limited to commissioned officers in the park management track prior to 9/1/2020. State Park Law Enforcement career ladder eligibility requirements must be met to advance from the base rate-of-pay.
