We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and motivated ICU Kennel Technician to join our fast-paced Emergency and Specialty Veterinary Hospital. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on animal care, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to learn and develop new skills with the opportunity to train into a Veterinary Assistant role.
About the Role:
As an ICU Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our Intensive Care Unit team by maintaining a clean and organized hospital environment, assisting veterinary technicians and doctors, and helping provide exceptional patient care to critically ill and injured pets.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in building a long-term career in veterinary medicine.
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 12 hour day shift
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, exam rooms, and hospital equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized ICU environment
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with patient care and daily hospital operations
- Restrain patients safely for examinations and treatments
- Walk, feed, and monitor hospitalized patients as directed
- Stock supplies and ensure treatment areas remain fully equipped
- Launder bedding and maintain hospital cleanliness standards
- Assist with patient transport throughout the hospital
- Support the ICU team during emergency and critical care procedures
- Learn veterinary assistant skills through on-the-job training and mentorship
