Hennepin County’s Public Works Administration department is hiring a Fleet Technician Welder to join the Fleet Services Maintenance division. This position will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and modifying a wide variety of county equipment. This includes welding, cutting, and shaping metals for trucks, trailers, snowplows, hydraulic systems, guardrails, bridges, and other essential Public Works assets. This position will use MIG (Metal Inert Gas), stick, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and acetylene welding equipment, operate fabrication tools, read and interpret blueprints, and perform mechanical repairs as needed to support reliable and safe county operations.
