*Job Summary:*| Provides/coordinates clinical practice for patients admitted to the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Progressive Care Unit service, 24 hours a day, through the collaborative practice agreement and under the supervision of the on-call attending physician who is either on site or available by pager or phone.Key Responsibilities:
- Provides evidence-based clinical care to pediatric patients in the CICU/CPCU
- Supports IRB approved clinical research/trials through a variety of activities including but not limited to: obtaining consent, ordering diagnostic tests, recording laboratory and diagnostic results, administering therapeutic interventions, and reporting patient outcomes including toxicities or adverse events.
- Communicates with the family regarding the changing health care needs of their child

Work Location:| Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is
located in Aurora, CO.

provides patient management and coordination for the Cardiac Intensive Care
Unit and Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. The Advanced Practice Provider will
join a multidisciplinary team to provide care for the hospitalized cardiac
patient from admission to discharge. The position is 1.0 FTE and includes
Day/Evening/Night rotation as well as weekends and holidays. A salary
incentive is possible for those staffing greater than 75% nights or

*Qualifications:| Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must
meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Physician
Assistant:
• Graduate of an accredited APAP program
• BLS and PALS certification
• Certification from the NCCPA. OR Pediatric Nurse Practitioner:
• Graduate of an accredited BSN program.
• APN licensure and a master’s from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• BLS and PALS certification
• Pediatric Nursing Certification Board certificate or other comparable
certification.
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Ability to obtain Prescriptive Authority in the State of Colorado. Will need
to qualify for and obtain prescriptive authority within one year of beginning
position.Condition of Employment:*
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check _ _

for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $115,000 -
$131,000The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s
