Accounting Assistant

Position Summary

The Accounting Assistant supports daily office operations while providing foundational support to the accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with light accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Support

  • Assist with accounts payable, including invoice entry and vendor communication
  • Support accounts receivable processes such as payment posting and basic billing
  • Help maintain accurate financial records within Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Assist with employee expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations
  • Provide support during month-end close and audit periods as needed

Operational Support

  • Maintain truck and asset files, including tag renewals, title documentation, and IFTA-related tracking
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of transactions
  • Perform general administrative and operational tasks to support business needs

Administrative & Office Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and general inquiries
  • Manage front desk responsibilities and maintain a professional office environment
  • Sort and distribute mail, coordinate shipments, and manage office supplies
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and general office organization
  • Maintain physical and digital filing systems
