Essential Functions
• Essential Functions as outlined in Mechanical Engineer and Senior Mechanical
Engineer.
• Has extensive breadth and depth of knowledge in a field of specialization
and working knowledge of other fields.
• Work is stated in terms of objectives requiring planning and judgment.
• Performs work of a diverse scope, where data requires evaluation of various
factors.
• Exercises independent judgment with broadly defined practices and policies
in obtaining results.
• Has critical project technical leadership responsibility; may plan or lead
work assignments for lower-level engineers and technicians.
• Works autonomously.
• Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms.
• May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge around
specialization.
• Works on advance, complex technical projects or business issues requiring
state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
• Progressively increases contributions and impact to the team and projects.
Additional Duties & Requirements
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the
division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
• Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position,
as identified by department leadership.
• Experience in off highway automation and/or autonomy.
• Strong experience with off highway vehicle electronics.
• Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work with minimal
supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
• Travel may be necessary.
• US Persons required for this position.
Education and Experience
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, in field related
to specific position.
• Advanced engineer with 8-12 years of career experience, with bachelor's
degree in mechanical engineering or master's degree. Or experience in lieu of
education.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach.
