Industrial Projects Manager - Project Logistics

1. Project Leadership & Execution
- Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of industrial project logistics from tender stage through execution and project close‑out.
- Lead project planning, including route studies, feasibility assessments, transport engineering, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Approve method statements, lifting plans, and HSSE documentation prepared by operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with technical requirements, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor critical project milestones and intervene proactively to resolve operational bottlenecks.
2. Commercial & Financial Management
- Lead project budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.
- Review and approve quotations, vendor selections, and major procurement decisions.
- Ensure accurate billing, margin protection, and timely financial closure of projects.
- Support commercial teams in tender preparation, solution design, and customer presentations.
3. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key project clients, EPCs, OEMs, and strategic partners.
- Conduct project review meetings, performance evaluations, and post‑project debriefs.
- Manage escalations, negotiate solutions, and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.
- Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with chartering, engineering, HSSE, finance, and country operations teams.
4. Vendor & Carrier Management
- Oversee relationships with heavy‑lift carriers, vessel owners, transport engineering firms, and specialized subcontractors.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements.
- Approve major subcontracting decisions and negotiate key commercial terms.
5. Governance, Compliance & Risk Control
- Ensure all project activities comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and HSSE standards.
- Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation plans for high‑risk cargo movements.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks.
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor Industrial Projects Specialists, coordinators, and field teams.
- Build capability in heavy‑lift logistics, project planning, and operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Competencies
- Deep expertise in multimodal project logistics, heavy‑lift operations, and chartering.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project P&L.
- Advanced knowledge of Incoterms, HSSE frameworks, and transport engineering principles.
- Proficiency with logistics ERP systems (SAP, CargoWise, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple large‑scale projects under tight timelines.
