Position Summary:
AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Duluth, Minnesota that produces composite "fiberglass" parts such as Wings, Fuselages, Horizontals, and their accompanying parts for the Cirrus SR20, SR22 piston airplane, and the SF50 Vision Jet. We are looking for experienced Aircraft Interior Installers who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!
The Assembler Technician Trainee is responsible for a variety of tasks that are pivotal to building a plane or jet. As a technician you will be learning to use a variety of hand tools and use of pneumatic fixtures to assemble parts.
Essential Functions:
- Learn about Assembler role and Cirrus processes
- Develop early skills in how to inspect, build and install aircraft components
- Start reading and understanding engineering drawing and specifications
- Learn about parts, parts fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance complies with design requirements to gain confidence and familiarity
- Understand importance of cleaning, set up and use of bonding, drilling, and holding fixtures
- Begin skills in installing rivets, screws and bolts, using appropriate tools
- Identify and learn routes for wires, cables and tubing
- Grow skills in Torques hardware and fitting, practicing various tools and test equipment
- Learn to understand, follow and properly document aircraft build instructions
- Wears personal protective equipment as required and may include a respirator
- Learns to mix and apply adhesives, resins, and sealants per instructions
- Maintains a clear and organized workstation to department standards
