Engineering Technician IV

Assist engineering by designing, testing, fabricating, and/or troubleshooting a process, system, assembly, or product.
* Assist engineering and coordinate with internal teams on a variety of products and processes, including: engineering specifications, drawings, models, manuals, processes, or bill of materials. * Research, investigate, and select technical data pertinent to the assigned project. * Work with internal teams and external sources to obtain and communicate data relative to engineering requirements. * May be involved in the bid process. * Write test plans, conduct tests, and document results. * Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects. * Participate in department improvement activities. * May be asked to interact with customer to install, monitor, troubleshoot, or repair products. * Maintain a clean and safe work area. * May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed. * Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
* Lead or participate in department improvement activities. * Perform troubleshooting to look for areas of opportunity, as well as compliance and implementation issues. * Develop, research, and recommend test procedures. * With Engineering assistance, facilitate minor design projects from the concept stage through production, and make modifications as necessary. * Responsible for defining technical approaches and tasks related to activities and minor projects.
* Has critical project technical leadership responsibility; may plan or delegate work assignments to lower-level technicians. * Has knowledge of the business side and contributes to strategic decisions. * May perform limited Engineering work.
Education and Experience: Minimum of an associate degree in field related to specific position is required. 8+ years' experience in a related position, or experience in lieu of education.
