The City of Ames is currently accepting applications for part-time Transit Drivers. Under direction, Transit Drivers operate passenger buses on fixed routes and/or for demand response basis, as well as performs related work as required. Various routes are available. Transit Drivers are eligible for a $1,000 hiring wage incentive payable in three installments as follows: 1) $250 on first paycheck 2) $250 at completion of training 3) $500 at 6 month mark Pay Pay is figured on a step-based pay plan depending on hours of service.
