Join the
Future of Media Sales: SDR Program @ TEGNA (Dallas)
At
TEGNA, we don’t just sell advertising; we empower local
businesses and support the vital local journalism that keeps our communities
informed. Our Sales Development Representative (SDR) Program in Dallas is an
elite, 24-month "masterclass" designed to build the next generation of world-
class Media Account Executives.
In one of the most competitive media
markets in the country, we provide the roadmap, the mentorship, and the
technology. You provide the grit and the voice.
Our DNA: The TEGNA
Values in Action
We don't just put these on the wall; we live them on
the sales floor every day.
We Demand the Truth: We lead with facts and
data-backed insights. You will learn to consult with business owners by
providing honest, transparent marketing solutions—not just a sales
pitch.
We Work Smarter: We believe in high-velocity outreach powered by
intelligence. You’ll be equipped with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and our
proprietary suite of custom AI tools to identify high-intent leads and out-
prospect the competition.
We Do the Right Thing: Integrity is our
foundation. We prioritize the client’s success over a quick win and support
our teammates to ensure we all rise together.
We Win: We play for the top
of the leaderboard. This is a high-energy, high-activity environment for
people who love to compete, hit milestones, and see their efforts reflected in
their commission checks.
The 24-Month Mastery Path
This program is
structured to ensure that when you transition to your own book of business,
you are the most prepared pro in the room.
We begin with the SDR
Academy, an immersive 4-week training on the media landscape, salesmanship,
digital / linear products and our AI-powered tech stack.
You'll master the
art of the "cold open" and learn to leverage data to work smarter.
After a
3-month traineeship, you will be a full-fledged Sales Development
Representative on the phone, moving fast, and filling the pipeline for our
company’s sales leaders.
You’ll partner with Account Executives in stations
and with our Inside Salesforce to see how multi-platform deals (TV, Streaming,
and Digital) are structured.
In your second year you will have the
opportunity to take more ownership.
You’ll lead complex prospecting
strategies, begin closing your own SDR-sourced opportunities, and mentor the
incoming class of trainees.
Upon successful completion of the ~24-month
program, you transition into a full Junior Account Executive role, either in
our stations or in our Inside Salesforce managing your own client
relationships and closing high-value advertising solutions.
Who You Are:
The Dallas Hunter
The Pace-Setter: You thrive on the phone. You
understand that "moving fast" is a competitive advantage and you have the
stamina to keep the energy high all day.
The Tech-Forward Strategist: You
aren't afraid of AI; you're excited by it. You want to use the best tools in
the industry to work more efficiently.
The Competitor: You want to be on a
team that keeps score and rewards top performers. You view a "No" as a detour,
not a dead end.
The Long-Game Player: You are looking for a career with a
clear trajectory and are willing to put in the work to achieve
mastery.
What You’ll Gain
A clear, 24-month milestone-based career
path.
Expertise in Multi-Platform Advertising (TV, OTT/Streaming, and
Digital).
Mentorship from the best sales leaders in the Dallas
market.
Experience with a cutting-edge tech stack including Proprietary AI
Sales Tools.
Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
potential.
At TEGNA, when you grow, we grow. Are you ready to
win?
