Mechanical Fitter - Full Time and Part Time

Dreamworld is home to the biggest thrill rides on the planet! We’re offering a unique and diverse opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team and help keep the fun running smoothly behind the scenes.
What’s the role?
You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing rides,
plant, and equipment across Dreamworld. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and
critical to ensuring our guests continue to have safe and unforgettable
experiences.
Shift Samples – Enjoy 3 Days Off Every 4 Shifts! Start your journey with a Monday to Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM shift while you get familiar with the park. Once you're all set, you will be assigned to one of the rosters below:
Roster 1: Sunday to Wednesday, 6 AM – 4:30 PM
Roster 2: Wednesday to Saturday, 6 AM – 4:30 PM
Part time – 5 days of availability inclusive of weekends required with minimum guarantee of 20 hours per week.
Both full time and part time roles require weekend availability, with some evening work also required. Please note that rosters are subject to change dependent on business requirements. We will always consult with you though.
What we’re looking for
To be considered, you must be a qualified Mechanical Fitter with a minimum of
five years post-trade experience and a solid background in industrial
maintenance. The following skills are essential:
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting breakdowns
• Inspection, measurement, testing and recording
• Assembly and disassembly of safety critical machinery
• Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Pumps and dewatering systems
• Heavy fixed plant repair
• Welding and fabrication experience (desirable)
A current manual driver’s licence is required, and while EWP and forklift
licences would be a bonus, they’re not essential.
