Regional Sales Manager, North America Video (Northeast)
JOB DESCRIPTION
ACT Entertainment
DEPARTMENT: Sales FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Commission-Eligible
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales EFFECTIVE DATE: 2/18/2026
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for driving revenue growth for ACT's Video product portfolio by cultivating relationships across the full ecosystem of live event and permanent installation markets in the Northeast United States. The role goes beyond transactional sales: the ideal candidate operates as a consultative partner and technical evangelist, engaging designers, integrators, rental houses, consultants, architects, and creative studios early in the project lifecycle to position ACT as the essential video technology partner.
The Northeast territory encompasses one of the densest concentrations of live event, theatrical, corporate, institutional, and cultural venue markets in North America -- from Broadway and Manhattan corporate AV to the museum and university corridor stretching from Washington, DC to Boston. This role is responsible for both servicing established accounts and developing emerging market verticals including immersive experiences, themed entertainment, and media-driven permanent installations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Generation & Pipeline Management
- Manage and track all sales leads through closure, including direct prospect engagement and collaboration with resellers, integrators, and distribution partners within the territory.
- Create opportunities, system configurations, and quotes, following through to closure utilizing the current CRM system.
- Develop and execute a territory plan with quarterly targets, account prioritization, and vertical market development strategies.
- Handle pre-sales inquiries, technical scoping, and system design consultation to position ACT video products as the specified solution.
Consultative Selling & Technical Evangelism
- Engage early in project lifecycles with designers, specifying engineers, consultants, and architects to influence specifications before competitive bids are solicited.
- Design and execute compelling product demonstrations, including portable demo environments and on-site proof-of-concept setups for prospective clients.
- Provide technical training and product education to integrators, rental houses, and end users to build product confidence and specification loyalty.
- Act as a subject matter resource on video processing, media server workflows, signal distribution, and system design for live event and installation applications.
Market Development & Vertical Expansion
- Identify, cultivate, and develop new customer categories and vertical markets beyond traditional live event rental, including immersive experience designers, themed entertainment studios, museum and cultural institutions, corporate experience centers, houses of worship, higher education, and architectural lighting/media firms.
- Build and maintain a network of relationships with architects, experience designers, creative directors, and AV consultants who influence technology decisions in permanent installation and destination experience projects.
- Represent ACT at trade shows, industry events, dealer events, and regional association meetings to promote the full ACT Video product portfolio.
Competitive Intelligence & Market Feedback
- Actively track competitive activity, project specifications, market sentiment, and emerging technology trends within the territory and report findings through weekly activity summaries.
- Provide structured feedback to product management, marketing, and leadership on customer needs, competitive gaps, pricing dynamics, and emerging application categories.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop territory-relevant case studies, application stories, and sales tools that support specification and adoption.

- Provide weekly activity reports summarizing calls, opportunities, quotes, pipeline status, and competitive environmental factors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Do the Right Thing, always: Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing in every action you take, and, in every decision, you make, especially when no one 's looking. Always tell the truth, no matter the consequences. If you make a mistake, own up to it, apologize, and make it right.

Identify lessons learned and use those lessons to improve ourselves and our processes so we don't make the same mistake twice. Get smarter with every mistake. Learn from every experience.
- Contribute to Profit: We're in business to deliver value to our customers while making money. We all play a role in building revenue that exceeds our expenses. Look for ways to increase our sales, develop new customers, and control our expenses.
