Under general supervision, the HVAC Technician 1st Class performs skilled HVAC work on a variety of equipment, including chillers, condensers, air conditioners, boilers, and ice machines. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including cleaning, adjusting, and troubleshooting components. Work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards. Because the Authority has a responsibility to serve the public 24 hours a day, an employee in this class is expected to work overtime as conditions demand and may be called back on short notice during power outages and other emergencies.
