About The Division

The Property Tax Assistance Division (PTAD) provides technical assistance to local governments and taxpayers on property tax issues but does not grant jurisdiction to intervene in local tax matters. PTAD is split into four areas, allowing the Division to offer technical assistance and implement statutory requirements in many innovative ways. The areas are outreach and support, education and communications, field appraisals, and data analysis. Apply to become a part of this great innovative Division.

General description

The Comptroller’s office is seeking SDPVS Data Analysts in the Property Tax Assistance Division (PTAD). This role performs journey-level consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves examining and auditing Reports of Property Value from local taxing entities; analyzing certified appraisal roll records; verifying data submitted; providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, local taxing units, and local governmental agencies. May train others.

Work Hours

Agency standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend hours. Hours are subject to change based upon business need or division determination.

This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule if certain conditions are met; working arrangements may change at any time as business necessitates.
