Corporate Attorney

at Corgi Insurance

About the job

Location: San Francisco, New York, Atlanta

Total compensation commensurate with experience.

Corgi is an AI-enabled, full-stack insurance carrier valued at $4.1B and rebuilding insurance from the ground up. We are the fastest growing company in our YC batch and are expanding rapidly across the insurance ecosystem.

We are hiring a Corporate Transactions Counsel to support our growing partnerships and business development activity. You will be embedded with the deals team and own the legal side of every transaction we run.

The Role

You will be the primary legal resource on all partnership and corporate transactions. You will work directly with senior leadership and external counsel to structure, negotiate, and close deals across the insurance ecosystem. Fast-paced, high-volume, and high-ownership.

What You Will Do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents including term sheets, purchase agreements, operating agreements, and employment agreements.
  • Advise on deal structure, risk allocation, and legal strategy across a high-volume transaction pipeline.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and manage legal workstreams across multiple simultaneous transactions.
  • Partner with business development and finance teams from term sheet through close.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel and oversee transaction-related legal spend.
  • Support post-close integration and ongoing compliance matters.

Who You Are

  • Licensed attorney with 5+ years of transactional experience at a law firm or in-house.
  • Deep experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with limited structure.
  • Insurance or financial services background is a strong plus.
  • Able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously without dropping details.
  • High ownership mentality: you run your workstreams, you do not wait to be managed.
