Job Summary The Area Director supports the Regional Director in providing oversight over an assigned group of centers, ensuring that the highest quality of care is provided to our members. The Area Director will provide guidance, mentorship and strategic planning assistance to the existing leadership, make certain the centers are operating efficiently and are growth ready, as well as ensure the centers are in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This role will take lead in coordinating sales efforts, taking advantage of a close geography and shared marketplace. Additionally, this position may support the on-boarding of new Center Directors and support the adoption and execution of best practices. The Area Director is expected to lead by example - being a strategic, proactive, productive and thoughtful leader; maintaining a positive attitude; keeping our members safe; and always working to enhance the health and happiness of the people we serve and those who care for them. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum of three (3) years multi-site leadership experience. Desire to take on new challenges, and strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi- tasking skills. Able to create and maintain a positive, engaging and enthusiastic learning environment. Able to identify, motivate, engage and build high-performance, cross-functional teams through effective coaching and mentorship. Able to define work objectives, develop related action plans, and track progress towards the successful achievement of defined goals and objectives. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook. Job Responsibilities Provide intensive operational and administrative instruction and mentorship in the areas of strategic planning and development, person- centered care, personnel management, quality and safety, administrative decision-making, marketing, and fiscal responsibility. Ensure the highest quality care is provided to members in accordance with company, state and regulatory guidelines and standards. Use effective assessment/analytical skills and action planning to expedite the center's ability to meet financial objectives by achieving or exceeding targeted census goals and effective expense management Actively engage in the selection, onboarding and professional development of cross-functional team members in accordance with staffing needs and regulatory requirements. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations as appropriate. Support and facilitate creative and innovative continuous improvement efforts associated with operations and quality of services rendered to members. Stay current on related industry knowledge and trends through educational opportunities, publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations. Introduce, adopt and live Active Day best practices and Code of Conduct Ability to travel 50% or more within an assigned geography. This is a role that requires consistent onsite support and leadership within each of the centers.
