Cashiers are responsible for taking payments from customers, making change,
and giving receipts. They are responsible for operating a computer terminal or
cash register depending on the location. Daily Station Reports are required
which may include incorporation of reports from the parking management system.
You will perform duties that relate directly to offer exemplary customer
service to our guests. You may be required to ensure that charges are posted
to guests rooms, track tickets & keys as well as answer requests for items
retrieved from cars.
Communicate with guest Dealing with money Complete DSR (daily station reports)
Hand out tickets (self parking) Post tickets (Self parking/ Valet) Answer the
telephone from guests Request cars for guests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
- Strong math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Basic typing and word processing skills
- Prior experience as a cashier is preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer or POS (Point of Sale) system knowledge.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Prior experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Work Environment
- Outdoor or indoor booth setting, depending on the facility.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, and rain.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Interaction with a diverse range of customers, including drivers, event attendees, and employees.
