Maintenance Controller

Reports to the Manager, Maintenance Control; The trained and qualified individual must possess a valid A&P certificate and have three years of experience on transport category aircraft.

Duties and responsibilities include:

•Manage and supervise line station mechanics performing routine and non- routine maintenance in accordance with GMM policies and procedures.

•Researching approved sources and distributing technical and operational instructions to line maintenance

personnel.

•Completing the Work Order found in Silver Wings and notifying System Operations Control of maintenance status of the aircraft. The 21A-MF-94, found in Aviation Docs can be used in place of the Work Order if necessary.

•Receiving, recording and approving (if applicable) requests to assign Minimum Equipment, Configuration Deviation List, NEF and MCO control numbers to aircraft Ensuring that aircraft are in compliance with the requirements for MEL/CDL deferral.

•Recording all applicable data and enters the deferred items into the tracking system. Ensures appropriate, timely action is taken to correct inoperative MEL/CDL and other deferred items.

•Expediting requests for parts, supplies and technical assistance in support of line maintenance.

•Maintaining liaison with Operations personnel to schedule and expedite clearing of deferred items, performing required maintenance, repair while maintaining schedule.

•Researching and recording data for delay reports, maintenance reliability, in service reports and other unscheduled maintenance events.

•Providing estimated time for return to service for out-of service aircraft and the status of deferred items.

•Reviews log sheets and other work documents as received to ensure they are complete and accurate for the maintenance performed prior to aircraft release.

•To assure continuity of work, providing necessary information to on-coming controller on a 21A-MF-22, shift turnover report and

annotate any period without Maintenance Control coverage.

•Maintains maintenance department contact information.

•Assists the Flight Follower with aircraft requirements when the Winter Operations plan is implemented.

•Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed in other company manuals such as the Fueling

and CASS Manuals.

•Performing such other duties as may be assigned by the Manager, Maintenance Control.
