Schedule: Per Diem | Flexible | No scheduling mandation | Per Diem Team Members are required to work a minimum of 5 shifts per month , based on the needs of the department. 2 of the 5 shifts must be on a weekend. Per Diem Team Members must meet all training requirements within the first 30 days of hire. This will include required training during normal business hours on weekdays (4 minimum weekday training requirements to be completed within 2 weeks of hire)
Shift Premiums : 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm $1.00 | 10:31 pm - 7:00 am $0.75 | Weekend (Fri 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm) $1.00

What You’ll Do in This Role:

As a Medication Technician , you’ll play a vital role in providing essential daily care to older adults, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort. If you thrive in a supportive, team-oriented environment and love building connections with residents , this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Medications & Treatments – Pass medications and provide treatments safely according to care plans.
  • Provide Hands-On Care – Assist residents with personal care (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support Mealtime – Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for overall health.
  • Promote Mobility – Assist with turning, positioning, and safe transfers to keep residents moving safely.
  • Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
  • Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep residents’ rooms tidy, cozy, and stocked with essentials.
  • Respond to Resident Needs – Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate support.
  • Monitor Resident Conditions – Report any changes to the leadership team immediately.
  • Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality care.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors or in long-term care, is highly preferred.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems is a plus.
  • Medication administration: At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting is preferred.
