Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility
Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures. Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. This position will support all the facilities in the market as needed.
- Performs Echocardiograms using a departmental protocol for obtaining images.
- Assists with TEE’s and stress testing, providing images that support the physician’s ability to diagnose patients appropriately.
- Sets priorities for completion of studies based on acuity, patient preference and/or the coordination of care with nursing and other ancillary services.
- Obtains EKGs that reflect appropriate lead placement, minimal artifact, and correct patient information.
- Set’s up and scans Holter Monitors, providing tracings that support the physician’s ability to diagnose patients appropriately.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required
- Education: Graduate of accredited CAAHEP or diagnostic medical sonography school, or at least 6 months of clinical experience.
- Experience: 6 months in clinical setting.
- Certification : Registry eligible and BLS.
Preferred
- Experience : 2 years.
- Certification : RDMS, RDCS, or RCS.
