Position Overview

Hunt Valley Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, organized, and service- focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you play a vital role in creating a positive and seamless experience from check-in to checkout.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with pet owners, multitasking in a busy hospital setting, and being an important part of a collaborative veterinary team.

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

  • Provide warm, professional client service to pet owners and patients
  • Answer phones, schedule veterinary appointments, and gather patient history
  • Process invoices and payments accurately
  • Verify vaccination and medical record status
  • Communicate patient arrivals and needs with veterinarians and technical staff
  • Prepare prescription, food, and OTC product requests as directed
  • Maintain accurate records in veterinary practice management software
  • Support smooth daily hospital operations and front-desk workflow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or medical reception role preferred
