Position Overview
Hunt Valley Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, organized, and service- focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you play a vital role in creating a positive and seamless experience from check-in to checkout.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with pet owners, multitasking in a busy hospital setting, and being an important part of a collaborative veterinary team.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Provide warm, professional client service to pet owners and patients
- Answer phones, schedule veterinary appointments, and gather patient history
- Process invoices and payments accurately
- Verify vaccination and medical record status
- Communicate patient arrivals and needs with veterinarians and technical staff
- Prepare prescription, food, and OTC product requests as directed
- Maintain accurate records in veterinary practice management software
- Support smooth daily hospital operations and front-desk workflow

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or medical reception role preferred
