STIP Data Analyst III, IV, or V - TPP Division - Austin, TX

The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) Branch is seeking a
highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst III -V to support critical statewide
transportation planning and programming efforts. This position plays a key
role in managing, analyzing, and validating transportation project data
associated with the STIP, including coordination with Metropolitan Planning
Organizations (MPOs), TxDOT Districts, and federal partners.
The selected candidate will perform advanced data analysis, develop and
maintain data quality controls, support consistency reviews between planning
documents (e.g., STIP, TIP, and long-range plans), and contribute to process
improvements and system enhancements such as automation and the eSTIP
platform.
Responsibilities include interpreting federal and state requirements,
preparing reports and decision-support tools, and ensuring accuracy and
compliance in project programming data. Ideal candidates will demonstrate
strong analytical skills, proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, databases,
data visualization tool, or programming languages), attention to detail, and
the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Experience with
transportation planning, project programming, or public-sector data systems is
highly desirable.
