The center focuses on developing advanced software, data platforms, and algorithms supporting core business processes, from product development to manufacturing and commercial performance. DRIVE YOUR FUTURE
The Software Data Engineer (AWS) will be involved in the Data Platform
project, with the goal of developing data ingestion processes through Kafka
and integrating all manufacturing systems present in the plants and will be
part of the AMS team, responsible for handling user-reported issues worldwide
and addressing improvement requests related to the ingestion process.
They will focus on analyzing and implementing big data solutions, particularly
in a cloud environment. The projects will address digital transformation,
transitioning from traditional and legacy solutions to data management and
analysis aligned with a data-driven strategy. The candidate will collaborate
with the Milan team to share requirements, design, and model loading chains.
Responsibilities include documenting developments, conducting integration
tests and deployments in the AWS environment, and managing the handover of the
implemented solution to the support team for governance.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
•Design and build streaming data pipelines: Kafka-MSK, stream processing
(Flink/Spark Streaming), and routing into curated storage.
•Develop batch transformation pipelines into a medallion lakehouse
(bronze/silver/gold) on S3, with table formats like Iceberg.
•Manage data storage across relational (Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL), NoSQL
(DynamoDB), and object/lakehouse layers.
•Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure for data and ML workloads via
Infrastructure as Code (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, VPC).
•Take solutions from prototype to production: refactor, optimize, and apply
CI/CD and engineering best practices.
•Ensure observability, monitoring, data quality, and maintenance of pipelines
in production.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
•Master's in Computer Science/Engineering (PhD a plus).
•Strong SQL and Python
•Streaming pipelines with Kafka/MSK and Flink (or Spark Streaming).
•AWS hands-on: EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora/RDS, DynamoDB, VPC.
•Big-data stack (Spark, Hive, HDFS) and lakehouse formats (Iceberg/Parquet).
•Git, CI/CD, Docker, IaC (Terraform), REST APIs; agile/scrum.
NICE TO HAVE
•Iceberg/Delta, CDC and schema evolution at scale; Scala.
•Strong communication, curiosity, and good organizational skills.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE
•The employment contract will be regulated by “Gomma Plastica” National
Collective Bargaining Agreement
•The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than 29.500€
•The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and,
following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary
above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate’s experience, skills,
and qualifications
•The position’s compensation package also includes a welfare and benefits
