*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
Performs advanced managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Texas Election Administration Management Program. Work involves establishing goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities; and monitoring budget expenditures. Supervises the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
· Provides comprehensive oversight to the Elections Division TEAM Program.
· Manages day-to-day activities of program staff and oversees all programmatic responsibilities.
· Establishes goals and objectives; develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; and manages evaluation activities.
· Works collaboratively with management to develop strategic plans and long- and short-term goals for the team.
· Develops and implements techniques for evaluating program effectiveness.
· Plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates internal and user specific policies and procedures and best practices.
· Prepares management and productivity reports; reviews and approves documents and reports developed by employees to ensure professional quality and appearance, appropriate content, consistency, and responsiveness.
· Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations.
· Provides technical expertise and guidance regarding questions related to the election administration and/or voter registration program.
· May oversee the implementation of changes resulting from new legislation.
· May oversee program analyses, research studies, and internal audits.
· Supervises the work of others.
· Performs other related work as assigned.
